This is pretty much what I'm really into right now. Manga are Japanese comics. For those who dont know, they are what most anime are adapted from. They have different genre and most are weekly releases in the famed Jump! magazine and several other magazines.
Some manga have a huge fanbase due to the shonen (boys) genre. Such as Naruto or Bleach.
But some really stand out get the credit they deserve. Like these for example.
And here is a favorite.
